ElectroMechanical Design Engineer Sr.
Lockheed Martin is a leading aerospace and defense company, and they are seeking a Senior ElectroMechanical Design Engineer for their Common Command Flight Termination System team. In this role, you will design the Universal Power Control Unit packaging and collaborate with various engineering teams to create reliable hardware solutions for missile programs.

Responsibilities
Developing detailed 3 D models, 2 D drawings and electromechanical layouts for the U PCU
Selecting materials, components and manufacturing processes that satisfy size, weight, power and environmental constraints
Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials, obtaining vendor quotes and coordinating build up with internal shops and external suppliers
Defining acceptance test criteria, executing verification tests and documenting results for each hardware iteration
Conducting thermal, shock, vibration and EMI analyses to ensure compliance with flight termination standards
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and supporting cross functional integration activities
Maintaining configuration control and design documentation in Lockheed Martin PLM tools
Supporting prototype fabrication, assembly, inspection and lab testing
Traveling as needed to supplier sites or program milestones to validate hardware performance
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Experience designing electronics packaging for Flight Termination Systems
Design Assurance processes
Working knowledge of Zuken
