Responsibilities

Develop FPGA designs for all major vendors and device families including: AMD Xilinx, Intel Altera, and Microchip
Implement designs using VHDL for high-speed serial interfaces, RF interfaces, DSP algorithms, controls, data links, embedded processing, and processor interfaces
Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers to develop requirements, architect new designs, collaboratively model algorithms, partition and perform code development, simulation, and implementation
Verify designs against requirements via simulation and other verification methods
Provide design support from requirements definition through integration and test, including design documentation and configuration management

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding
Experience with AMD Xilinx, Intel Altera, or Microchip FPGAs
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Preferred

Excellent written and verbal communications
Experience working with lab equipment, such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc
Familiarity with the Linux environment
Knowledge of other programming and scripting languages, such as C, C++, Python, Matlab
