Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with driver-applicants through verbal and written communication to ensure engagement and readiness through the onboarding process
Utilize various systems to document all contact with driver-applicants to improve internal communications and maintain compliance
Request, order, and provide driver applicants’ travel arrangements using company software and communicating with internal partners (client managers & operations personnel) for potential details and hotel arrangements
Order driver-applicants’ pre-employment drug tests using company software to ensure DOT and company standards are met
Gather & communicate pertinent information for safety, operations, and compliance personnel using various internal and external systems required for company policies and DOT regulations
Inform driver-applicants who do not meet hiring requirements that they are currently ineligible, but keep the driver interested in working for J.B. Hunt for a future time
Continue to promote the company to driver-applicants in the recruiting process. Ensure drivers have all pertinent information such as job descriptions and onboarding location
Receive phone applications, screen, & schedule qualified driver-applicants for onboarding and gather all required DOT and company paperwork for applicants using multiple systems to ensure DOT requirements are met before hire
Balance inbound and outbound calls within a call center
Qualification
Required
Ability to provide effective written and verbal communication
1 year of related experience, such as in a fast-paced office or call center
Basic experience in Microsoft Office Programs
Aptitude to learn new computer programs quickly
Written and verbal communication skills
Basic time management skills
Ability to influence across multiple levels
Ability to think critically, problem solve, and troubleshoot
Ability to remain professional during difficult conversations
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
Provide superior service resulting in a favorable perception of the Company
Computer efficiency, comfort with web navigation, ability to quickly navigate across multiple computer programs and systems
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment that shares common goals and daily expectations
Preferred
Experience with Dynamics or ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems)
