Responsibilities

Perform and analyze multi-color flow cytometry and cell sorting on complex biological samples from both human and animal models
Conduct routine and sterile cell culture of primary cells and cell lines, with a focus on immune and stromal cells
Perform rodent handling and surgical procedures for generating relevant disease models
Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including daily QC, calibration, and troubleshooting for specialized instruments like flow cytometers
Develop, optimize, and document new protocols for a variety of techniques, including advanced imaging and immunometabolism assays
Oversee daily lab operations, including reagent and consumable inventory, ordering, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, students, and new lab members on established procedures
Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and research team to analyze and interpret experimental data, and to present results at lab meetings
Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and grant applications by compiling data and writing sections on methods
Actively participate in scientific discussions and stay current on new technologies and research in the fields of immunometabolism and biomaterials

Required

Bachelor's degree and some years of immunology laboratory experience
Familiarity with high-throughput flow cytometry
Basic computer skills
Experience with routine statistical analyses
