Responsibilities

Assist in designing, developing, and testing AI/ML-based automation solutions for core network operations
Support automation of operational tasks using scripting and orchestration tools
Analyze network performance data and contribute to data-driven optimization use cases
Participate in proof-of-concept (PoC) development for AI-driven network enhancements
Collaborate with core network engineers on hybrid (cloud + on-prem) environments
Document technical designs, workflows, and test results
Support troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization of automated systems

Required

GPA 3.3 or above
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a related field of study
Must have 60 credit hours completed by May 2026
Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts (e.g., supervised learning, anomaly detection, predictive analytics)
Programming/scripting experience in Python (mandatory)
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
Understanding of automation concepts (e.g., scripting, workflows, APIs)
Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) is a plus
Knowledge of AI tools is a plus
Knowledge of telecom core networks (LTE/5G Core, NFV, SDN) is a plus
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Jenkins) is a plus
Exposure to data visualization or monitoring tools is a plus
