Responsibilities
This position is responsible for editing a variety of video assets for distribution across all channels
Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality videos are flawlessly edited
Take an idea from script to screen by telling compelling stories and incorporating graphical elements that engage the viewer
Ingest and organize footage using predetermined directory structure and backup protocols
Download and organize all assets including logos, brand guides, fonts, etc
Find selects in raw footage, audio
Find a music track that fits the vibe of the project
Meet project delivery dates according to assigned schedules
Prepare final video assets according to specifications
Demonstrate ability to come up with creative ideas that map back to the clients’ goals
Produce fresh, high-quality video content that ensures the creative direction is consistent and brand-based
Stay on top of industry trends as well as the latest software and video equipment
Collaborate effectively and efficiently within a team setting
Other job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Extreme attention to detail and organized
Conceptual thinking, typography skills, and design and editing skills
Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure
Excited to work with a small interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
Expert in Adobe Premiere CC and Media Encoder
Proficient in After Effects CC, Photoshop CC
Ability to work in all HD, UHD, and digital video formats including all variations of compression formats and their different uses in the production environment
Experience with preparing files for color correction and sound design
Go-to person for troubleshooting workflows, render or export problems
Possess a strong sense of story and rhythm, color grading, music and audio, and good communication
Excellent customer service
Must be available to work evenings, weekends as needed or required
Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Project management
Must be proactive, self-motivating, and able to work independently and in a team
Understand all elements of video production
Enthusiastic, energetic, and imaginative
Must have excellent time management skills and capable of meeting aggressive deadlines
Clear and effective communicator
Flexible, approachable, professional, and positive attitude
Comfortable working as part of a team
Preferred
Preferably experienced in editing across multiple mediums: documentaries, short-form, narrative, commercials a plus
Familiar and comfortable collaborating in the edit bay with a director and producer
A portfolio of work that demonstrates his/her passion for video editing
