This role provides hands-on experience working with engineering, fabrication, and field teams.
Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Assist in the creation of prefabrication drawings and models for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing, and supports)
Produce basic shop drawings, spool drawings, and material lists under supervision
Review contract drawings and specifications to understand project requirements
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, VDC staff, and prefab shop personnel
Incorporate redlines, markups, and revisions into drawings as directed
Help identify and resolve basic coordination or constructability issues
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
Support prefab shop and field teams by responding to drawing-related questions
Qualification
Required
3 yrs+ of Plumbing Or pipefitting field Experience
Ability to read and understand construction drawings with guidance
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Familiarity with mechanical systems or prefabrication concepts
Experience or interest in commercial or industrial construction
