Responsibilities
Draft and edit legal documents, including motions, complaints, discovery requests/responses, and demand letters, with a focus on employment law matters
Conduct legal and factual research to support case development
Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and mediations
Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and evidence related to employment claims
Prepare case summaries, timelines, and document indexes
Work closely with clients to gather information, draft declarations, and support litigation strategy
E-file documents with state and federal courts, including documents for employment-related litigation
Maintain and manage litigation calendars—track deadlines for discovery, court filings, hearings, and appearances
Coordinate court appearances, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
Serve as point of contact for court staff, opposing counsel, clients, and vendors
Ensure compliance with all applicable court rules and procedures
Qualification
Required
3–5+ years of experience in litigation support, with a strong preference for employment law experience
Solid understanding of California and federal court rules and employment law procedures
Excellent drafting skills, particularly in preparing legal motions and discovery in employment cases
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
Proficient in legal practice management software (e.g., FileVine, Clio) and Microsoft Office Suite
