Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial painting projects, including takeoffs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
Analyze project plans, specifications, and addenda to determine painting scope, surface conditions, and special requirements
Solicit and evaluate bids from paint suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess project conditions, access, and potential challenges
Qualification
Required
Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sales mentality with a focus on relationship-building
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently
Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience with takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, BlueBeam, etc.)
Background in paint, subcontracting, or construction industry
