Mid LevelTayani Institute is seeking a dynamic, energetic and knowledgeable full-time Dispensing Optician to work in their growing Ophthalmology/Optometry practice. The role involves providing excellent customer service, managing product inventory, and assisting with marketing plans within the Optical Department.

Responsibilities
Perform duties in the optical department and provide good customer experience
Perform all billing efforts of insurance plans for billable services/products in the vision plans
Learn NextGen Optical Management software and perform routine tasks such as sales, billing and inventory
Manage product inventory and report discrepancies immediately to your manager
Saturday coverage in the Optical Dept. as needed
Assist with marketing plans within the Optical Department
Qualification
Required
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to actively engage the patient
Attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of vision insurance (EYEMED, VSP, MES & Spectera)
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong computer skills
Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond for patients and coworkers in need
Ability to work independently, but also be a team player
Management or leadership skills a plus
Bilingual (Spanish speaking preferred)
Experienced Optician
Preferred
NextGen software preferred
Sales experience
ABO/NCLE preferred
