New Grad, Entry LevelGolden Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Ride Engineer to maintain the Stratosphere rides, attractions, and tower equipment. The role involves performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting ride system issues, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities
Performs scheduled maintenance and safety checks on the rides and attractions
Troubleshoots and addresses ride system issues
Follows all operating and safety procedures required for each attraction
Maintains the ride equipment, tools and ride areas in a professional, neat and workmanlike manner
Effectively communicates with other employees to address any developed ride system issues
Demonstrates the ability to react professionally and rationally in emergency and high-pressure situations
Immediately notifies the director of ride engineering of damaged or defective equipment and/or potential safety hazards
Practices ride-specific emergency evacuation procedures and is familiar with the overall tower evacuation procedures
Ensures that all paperwork is completed correctly on a daily basis
Notifies the director of ride engineering of any ride system changes
Maintains Stratosphere equipment as directed
Uses proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to accomplish maintenance tasks
Follows all Stratosphere policies and procedures
Maintains a professional attitude and manner at all times
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in an industrial trade (principally mechanical or electrical) is required
Ability to read, analyze and understand documents, such as operations and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematics and procedural manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Physical abilities to stand, stoop, bend, lift, turn, step and climb in order to maintain ride equipment
Must be physically capable to lift and position items up to 50 lbs
Must be able to climb up 4 flights of stairs and/or 240 feet of sectioned ladders
Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical)
Ability to work (including perform routine maintenance) at extreme heights and in extreme weather conditions
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred
Amusement ride maintenance experience is preferred
