Responsibilities
Create, edit, and maintain CNC programs using AlphaCAM for stone fabrication equipment (CNC routers, saws, and waterjets as applicable)
Interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, templates, and field measurements to produce accurate laser drawings and machining files
Generate and manage nesting layouts to maximize slab yield and minimize material waste
Actively monitor and control slab yield and waste percentages, recommending layout or programming improvements
Ensure all drawings and programs are clean, accurate, and production-ready, with correct tooling, paths, and machining logic
Collaborate closely with estimating, scheduling, production, and shop floor teams to meet deadlines
Maintain organized digital records of programs, drawings, and revisions
Support continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency, material utilization, and programming standards
Work effectively under time constraints while maintaining accuracy and quality
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Stone Fabrication Programmer or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with AlphaCAM (required)
Demonstrated expertise in: Laser drawings, CNC programming for stone, Nesting layouts, Slab yield optimization and waste management
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-production environment
Strong understanding of stone materials (granite, quartz, marble, porcelain, etc.)
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to communicate clearly with shop personnel and management
Preferred
Experience working in a high-volume stone fabrication shop
Familiarity with multiple CNC machine types and fabrication workflows
Understanding of production metrics related to yield, waste, and efficiency
