Director, SIOP and Production Planning

AAON, Inc. is seeking a Director, SIOP and Production Planning to lead the planning process that aligns customer demand with manufacturing and supply capabilities. This role is responsible for ensuring that volume, revenue, and capacity plans support strategic business objectives while facilitating cross-functional collaboration and improving operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Leads demand and supply planning across multiple product lines and manufacturing locations
Partners with sales, operations, supply chain, and finance to ensure accurate forecasting and production alignment
Facilitates planning meetings to drive consensus and resolve demand/supply conflicts
Prepares and presents planning reports and performance metrics to senior leadership
Integrates planning outputs into broader organizational strategies and processes
Promotes process discipline and continuous improvement across teams
Guide and lead the planning function across all plants
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related discipline
8+ years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Leading cross-functional planning processes and resolving demand/supply conflicts
Presenting performance insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Managing and developing direct reports in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
Driving continuous improvement and process discipline across teams
Utilizing data analytics to support strategic decision-making
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Skilled in conflict resolution and cross-functional collaboration
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent collaboration across departments
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on planning tasks
Use of fine motor skills for data analysis and report preparation
Occasional travel to manufacturing sites may be required
Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
Perform all tasks on-site
Operate in a manufacturing office setting with exposure to production areas
Compliance with all applicable safety policies to maintain a safe working environment
Regular interaction and teamwork with operations, supply chain, and production staff
Exposure to moderate noise levels and moving mechanical parts in production areas
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when visiting manufacturing sites
This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree
experience in HVAC or manufacturing environments
