Responsibilities
Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed cost estimates
Prepare quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and vendor bids
Develop and maintain project budgets and pricing models
Identify risks, contingencies, and cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders during bid and pre-construction phases
Support value engineering and scope clarification efforts
Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
Assist with change order pricing as needed
Qualification
Required
Experience in construction estimating
Good Understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience reading and analyzing construction documents, plans, and specifications
Experience with architectural drawings and 3D renderings
Experience with AUTO-CAD and Bluebeam
