Sr. Director, Organizational Development & Effectiveness (Hybrid)
The American Medical Association (AMA) is the nation's largest professional Association of physicians and a non-profit organization. This role will lead the development and execution of organizational and talent management strategies to support the AMA's vision and strategic goals, collaborating with senior leaders to enhance effectiveness across the organization.

Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of a new performance management program system and process, which drives a culture of accountability, development, and high performance
Advise senior management on creating strategies and implementing interventions to facilitate organizational and culture change. Develop recommendations and actions plans with AMA senior management and execute process to move the AMA toward completion of its goals
Provide consultation on areas such as organizational planning and design, change management, and organizational effectiveness; work in partnership with HR leaders and BUs to design and implement organizational development initiatives that support AMA strategy and goals
Guide the design and delivery of programs that lead to enhanced organizational and individual performance including leadership and manager development
Continually builds bench-strength of leadership talent through individual development plans and partnering with senior leadership to design and implement high potential development strategies
Works directly with executive management, SVP HR, and HR Director to design the process for succession planning and build a leadership pipeline
Develop a career framework, leveraging the job framework, by identifying competencies and developing tools and training on career development for managers and employees
Develop a continuous learning and development framework for all employees, which encourages skill-building, performance excellence, and professional growth at all levels
Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight for professional staff
Accountable for setting objectives, evaluating performance, and developing staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred, in business/human resources/organizational development/Industrial/Organizational Psychology
Minimum 12+ years in Talent Management/Organization development field with at least 5 years' experience directing a Talent Management/Organization development function
Extensive knowledge and experience in leading process and system transformation (performance management especially preferred)
Demonstrated competency in large group facilitation and planning, individual and team coaching, design and delivery/facilitation of leadership and team development sessions
Experience creating and implementing talent management approaches, leadership development, change management and organizational development initiatives
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information, required
7+ years' experience in people management required; able to attract and develop talent
Demonstrated leadership ability to drive results as well as lead across the organization through influence and collaboration
Proven ability to build and implement long-term plans and roadmaps
