Sparus Holdings is seeking a Damage Prevention Inspector who will perform technical work in a geographical area. The role involves traveling to work sites to ensure safety practices and code compliance, educating crews on local laws, and completing field reports to minimize utility damage risks.

Responsibilities

Travel to pre-determined work sites to follow up on operator and crew excavation safety practices and code compliance
Educate work crews on local law
Establish positive and forward-thinking interactions between utility, public, and private contractors
Complete field reports detailing conversations, noncompliance activity, and determined resolutions to minimize utility damage risks
Utilize the platform to enhance overall 811 public awareness

Qualification

Underground utility experienceCustomer service experienceTechnology proficiencyCommunication skillsOrganizational skills

Required

Valid, Driver's License
Pass a 7-year background check and Drug Test
Must be proficient in using technology
Must adhere to safety requirements
Must have customer service experience
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Fundamental understanding of underground utility systems
Strong organizational and efficient work planning skills
Underground utility experience to include utility locating
Bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking several miles per day
Carry up to 20 lbs of equipment
Be able to effectively communicate with customers in a courteous manner displaying excellent customer service
Observe and follow all company/client procedures
Possess excellent customer service/communication skills
Be available for overtime
Be comfortable using computers/technology
