IT Architecture Automation Intern

They are seeking a motivated intern to join their Enterprise Architecture team, where the intern will help automate key architectural processes using artificial intelligence techniques and work alongside senior architects and data scientists.

Responsibilities
Identify and document high impact architectural activities that are currently manual (e.g., technology fit gap analysis, asset inventory validation, pattern selection for new solutions)
Work with architects and domain SMEs to capture inputs, decision rules and output artefacts in a format suitable for automation
Design, train, and evaluate lightweight machine learning or natural language processing models that can suggest architecture components, classify technology stack options, or flag compliance gaps
Use Python (scikit learn, pandas, TensorFlow/PyTorch, spaCy, LangChain, etc.) and Jupyter notebooks to iterate quickly
Build proofs of concept that embed AI models into existing toolchains (e.g., ServiceNow, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Create CI/CD pipelines that automatically run the models, generate artefacts (architecture decision records, diagrams, risk scores) and push them to the appropriate repositories
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's program (or recent graduate) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit learn, and at least one deep learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
Basic understanding of IT Architecture concepts (e.g., reference architectures, technology stacks, cloud service models, CMDB, TOGAF/FEAF)
Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals (classification, regression, NLP, prompt engineering) and experience with building simple models or prototypes
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps tooling (Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker)
Ability to work with structured and semi structured data (CSV, JSON, XML) and comfort with SQL or NoSQL queries
Professional knowledge of the English language
Professional working proficiency in English language is required
You must be legally eligible to work in the Greater Montreal area and, if applicable, hold a valid work or study permit
