Project Accountant
Toole Design Group is a leading firm in sustainable multimodal transportation design, focused on creating safer, more connected communities. They are seeking a Project Accountant to manage the financial health of multiple projects, which includes preparing invoices, monitoring project performance, and assisting project managers with billing issues.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Preparing invoices
Analyses of performance monitoring project performance by reviewing budgets and forecasting potential overruns
Creating and maintaining project accounts in the accounting system using established procedures
Unbilled management
Setting up and closing out projects in the ERP system
Assisting project managers with billing issues
Collections
Reconciling receipts and budgets
Communicating with the project managers, clients and subconsultants
Compiling information for internal and external auditors
Contributing to staff trainings
Qualification
Required
Experience in financial management and health of multiple projects
Ability to prepare invoices and analyze performance monitoring project performance
Experience in reviewing budgets and forecasting potential overruns
Proficiency in creating and maintaining project accounts in the accounting system using established procedures
Experience in unbilled management
Ability to set up and close out projects in the ERP system
Experience assisting project managers with billing issues and collections
Ability to reconcile receipts and budgets
Strong communication skills with project managers, clients, and subconsultants
Experience compiling information for internal and external auditors
Ability to contribute to staff trainings
