Responsibilities
Build and lead the brokerage operation from the ground up
Establish structure, workflows, and performance standards
Own execution, profitability, and long-term growth
Leverage an existing book of business and develop new customers
Build repeatable, contract-based freight relationships
Align brokerage activity with asset-based operations
Hire and develop customer and carrier sales staff
Create accountability, performance expectations, and standards
Build a professional, disciplined brokerage culture
Work closely with operations, safety, and customer service teams
Utilize existing support teams in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
Maintain strong execution, communication, and service quality
Help define the long-term brokerage strategy for Trans 99 USA
Support expansion of Trans 99’s North American service offering
Play a key role in positioning the company as a premium transportation provider
Qualification
Required
Proven experience building or leading a freight brokerage
Established book of business and industry relationships
Experience hiring and managing brokerage teams
Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and risk management
Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Professional, accountable, and execution focused
Preferred
Preference for candidates currently located in or willing to relocate to the Detroit, Michigan area
