Responsibilities
As a hands-on leader, the team leader monitors and assists in completing production and assembly as needed
Oversees and directs a production team on a scheduled shift
Communicate effectively with management and employees to meet customers’ needs or demands
Assist in the training of new employees
Ensures safety and quality policies and procedures are followed
Ensures production meets the organization's targeted goals
Schedules employees for the assigned work shift and conducts safety or training programs for employees
Monitors productivity, machinery, and the employees' work to suggest improvements in the production process
Update and maintain production reports for tracking and keep the production and operations manager aware of the production area's performance as needed or required
Assist the Supervisor/Manager with employee adherence to company policies and procedures
Understands and supports the foundational operations disciplines of safety, 5S, lean manufacturing and standard work
Qualification
Required
Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role/equivalent
High School diploma or GED required
Must have coaching skills and problem-solving ability
