Responsibilities
Act as Owner’s Representative for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) execution on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects
Define and document RFPs and EPC scopes of work, lead EPC selection, and support contract negotiations
Conduct and support project due diligence, including review of environmental, geotechnical, and technical reports
Develop and manage Project Execution Plans, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
Oversee EPC contractor performance related to schedule, cost, scope, safety (EHS), and quality
Manage utility interconnection coordination, documentation, testing, and commissioning activities
Serve as the primary point of contact for landowners, utilities, permitting authorities, contractors, and suppliers
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including engineering, procurement, commissioning, asset management, legal, finance, and accounting
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure safe construction practices and quality control
Lead project status meetings and deliver executive-level reporting and dashboards
Manage project documentation for internal use, external stakeholders, and project financing requirements
Lead construction-to-operations turnover activities
Support the development of internal standards, procedures, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
Several years of experience managing construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects
Strong familiarity with PV solar design standards and civil/structural construction
Proven experience leading EPC contract negotiations
Demonstrated experience delivering utility-scale PV solar projects
Proficiency with CPM scheduling and project controls
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform under time-sensitive conditions
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Willingness to travel up to 30%
Preferred
Energy storage experience preferred
PMP certification preferred
Spanish language skills a plus
