Responsibilities
This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations
Report potentially unsafe conditions
Performs major and minor mechanical rebuilding, diagnosing of engines, hydraulic systems, drive train systems and electrical systems
To be able to perform work with little or no supervision
Locates causes of trouble, dismantles engines, and examines parts for defects
Replaces or repairs parts such as rings and bearings
Cleans and adjusts carburetor and magneto
Starts repaired engines and listens to sounds to test performance
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Minimum of three years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver's license required
Successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines
Ability to perform major and minor mechanical rebuilding, diagnosing of engines, hydraulic systems, drive train systems and electrical systems
Ability to perform work with little or no supervision
Ability to locate causes of trouble, dismantle engines, and examine parts for defects
Ability to replace or repair parts such as rings and bearings
Ability to clean and adjust carburetor and magneto
Ability to start repaired engines and listen to sounds to test performance
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
Ability to meet specific vision abilities required by this job including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
