New Grad, Entry LevelWiss is a company focused on empowering its employees and fostering growth. They are seeking a CAAS Staff Associate to provide guidance and leadership to clients, helping them improve their accounting departments and ensuring timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities
Typical client assignments will include all areas of responsibility a private company controller/CFO would be tasked with handling
Assist team members staffed on interim controller/CFO/outsourced accounting projects
Understand and evaluate the current workflow and organizational structure of client's current processes, procedures, and technology, as well as assisting the clients to become more efficient in those fields
Assist with month-end closes including bank and credit card reconciliations, balance sheet roll forwards, posting journal entries for prepaid/accrued expenses, payroll, revenue recognition, etc., and reviewing monthly balance sheets and income statements, etc
Assist team members with ad-hoc specialty projects on emerging issues
Research third party solutions for client pain points that is performed outside of the accounting system
Work with Business Advisory team members to develop Key Performance Indicators for businesses, set targets, and monitor progress for them
Support on accounting system conversion projects
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field
Individuals with plans to pursue their CPA are highly desired
Candidates should be detail oriented and interested in pursuing a career in public accounting, highly motivated team players, and in possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
Willingness to learn and advance proficiency in a variety of accounting systems and desire to focus on continuous improvement
Preferred
Internship experience in the public accounting industry is preferred
