Director of Trauma Program
Texas Nursing Services is seeking an experienced Director of Trauma Program for their Level II Trauma Center located on Florida’s Emerald Coast. The role involves providing operational leadership for a comprehensive trauma service, ensuring compliance, performance improvement, and optimal patient outcomes across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations of the hospital-wide trauma program
Coordinate trauma services across the emergency department, surgical services, and inpatient units
Serve as the primary liaison between local, regional, and state trauma systems
Monitor trauma clinical processes, outcomes, and system performance
Develop and manage quality filters, audits, and trauma case reviews
Oversee trauma registry structure, accuracy, reporting, and confidentiality
Lead trauma performance improvement and patient safety initiatives
Manage trauma center verification and re-verification processes
Conduct strategic planning to optimize trauma care delivery and resource utilization
Collaborate with surgeons, trauma physicians, nursing leaders, and ancillary departments
Address trauma-related patient and family concerns in partnership with leadership
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of recent (within the last year) acute care trauma leadership experience
Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate Degree or higher
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Preferred
Strong background in trauma performance improvement and verification processes
Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
