Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned programs
Oversees and coordinates the cost, schedule, technical aspects of ongoing Facilities engineering projects within the program guidelines set by the Facilities Manager and customer
Serves as single point-of-contact between Facilities engineering project management, planning, Facilities, and line management
Reviews status of Facilities engineering projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
Assesses Facilities engineering project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring Facilities engineering project progress and for intervention and problem solving with Facilities engineering project managers, line managers, and customers
Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received
May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other engineering projects, missions, and programs
Senior professional with strong knowledge of Facilities and Construction areas and broad knowledge of project management
Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight
Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures
Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes
Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of Facilities and/or Construction areas
Broad knowledge of project management
Ability to manage complex projects or processes with general oversight
Experience in overseeing and coordinating cost, schedule, and technical aspects of ongoing Facilities engineering projects
Ability to communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures
Experience in developing mechanisms for monitoring Facilities engineering project progress
Ability to assess Facilities engineering project issues and develop resolutions
Experience in preparing status reports and managing schedules
