Production Manager 1st shift
Surlean Foods is seeking a Production Manager for their 1st shift operations. The role involves directing and coordinating production activities while ensuring compliance with quality control standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities
Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
Ensures all employees are following customer specifications, GMP’s, SOP’s, and safety procedures at all times
Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production, machines, and equipment
Plans and directs production activities and establishes production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors
Conducts hearings to resolve or effect settlement of grievances and refers unresolved grievances to upper management
Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems
Monitors yields across all product lines. Reports and corrects anything below the standard
Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality
Reviews and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems
All other tasks appointed by management
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, and subordinate instructions
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and employees
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and shop orders
Flexibility in work hours and days is crucial
Preferred
Bachelor's or Associate's degree (A.A.) preferred
