Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage) to meet performance, capacity, and availability requirements
Monitor storage systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis for storage-related incidents
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in line with business continuity requirements
Collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to optimize storage performance and availability
Perform storage provisioning, capacity planning, and lifecycle management
Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Document storage configurations, procedures, and operational standards
Participate in projects involving storage upgrades, migrations, and integrations with virtualization or cloud platforms
Qualification
Required
Applicants must be able to work directly for the company on a W2 basis
Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as EMC/Isilon, NetApp, Hitachi Vantara, or Pure Storage
Strong understanding of SAN/NAS architecture, protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB), and storage networking concepts
Familiarity with backup/recovery tools and strategies such as Veritas NetBackup, Commvault, or Veeam
Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible) is preferred
Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring tools
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data storage and security in financial services
Preferred
Experience with storage in virtualized or cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
Certifications such as NetApp NCIE, EMC Proven Professional, or related credentials
Prior experience in financial services or highly regulated environments
