Responsibilities

Manages a staff of subordinates, setting priorities and scheduling work completion within the division
Plans, directs, and assigns work responsibilities; explains work requirements; establishes clear expectations; monitors progress, and reviews work
Develops policy for test and evaluation efforts including interoperability/net-readiness certification of joint IT/NSS and Operational Testing of joint IT/NSS capabilities
Develops policy for Operational and Developmental Testing, cyber security evaluations of systems, and networks and services
Coordinates with division leaders, branch leaders, and action officers to provide an effective and efficient means of sharing knowledge and information related to command services
Manages complex current operations including exercises, taskers from higher HQ, providing a common operating picture of JITC operations around the globe for the command staff

This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination
In accordance with the DoD 8140 policy series, the position is subject to completing Foundational Qualifications in 9 months and completing Residential Qualification requirements overall in 12 months
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) as a condition of employment
The incumbent must obtain Acquisition certification in the Test and Evaluation Functional Area at the Practitioner Functional Tier within 60 months of entry into this position
The incumbent must also achieve 80 hours of Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) every two years from the time they are appointed to an Acquisition Workforce position, while working toward and after obtaining the required certification
The incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually thereafter, in accordance with DoD 5500.07-R
Attention to Detail - experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been responsible for reviewing the work of others to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards
Customer Service - developing and maintaining relationships with customers, anticipating and assessing the current and future information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products or services that are tailored to meet customer needs
Oral Communication - briefing senior-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of complex technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying alternatives to address unique, highly complex, or sensitive information technology-related issues. I have anticipated information technology-related problems and have identified and evaluated potential sources of information to generate alternative solutions
One year of qualifying experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-14) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: performing supervisory duties including managing staff, setting priorities and scheduling work; developing policy for test and evaluation efforts including interoperability/net-readiness certification of joint IT/NSS, Developmental Testing (DT); cyber security evaluations of systems, and managing taskers
