Responsibilities
Greets and registers patients and visitors
Interviews clients and obtains financial information, medical and personal data
Ensures confidentiality of data, obtains necessary signatures for release of confidential data
Maintains dental appointment schedule within specified scheduling guidelines
Provides orientation to new patients
Maintains working knowledge of NC Medicaid, NC Tracks, iDentalSoft software and common insurance plans
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school or equivalent
Two years of customer service experience
Experience in medical or dental office
Must have excellent customer service skills
Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques
Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic
Ability to follow and apply policies and procedures
Must be able to type at a reasonable rate of speed
Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain effective working relationships with clients, community partners, school administrative staff, nurses and the general public
Preferred
Associates degree or higher
Fluency in English and Spanish
