Principal Power Applications Engineer – AI Market
Analog Devices is seeking a Principal Power Applications Engineer to lead the development of next-generation power modules for AI systems. This senior technical role involves power electronics design, magnetics analysis, and system-level power solutions, focusing on innovative architectures and customer support.
Responsibilities
New Power Module Development
Define and develop advanced power modules for AI acceleration platforms
Verify architecture and power solutions through behavioral simulations
Design and debug new power modules; validate magnetics design and module structure
Perform functional testing on new products to identify bugs and limitations
Define new power stages for PB/VPD modules and their structure
Reference Designs & Collateral
Generate and validate reference designs for system verification
Develop design collateral such as datasheets, evaluation kit manuals, application notes, and layout guidelines
Test evaluation kits and produce detailed evaluation reports for customers
Support FAEs and remote application teams with troubleshooting complex technical issues
Suggest product and application improvements based on customer feedback
Qualification
Required
MSEE preferred
10+ years of experience with system-level power management products and applications
Strong knowledge of high-power, high-performance Buck, Forward, and Flyback converters in AI market applications
Expertise in magnetics design and analysis (MAXWELL)
Proficiency in automation test tools (LabVIEW or Python)
Excellent communication skills; ability to write technical documents and application notes
Skilled in MS Word and Visio for technical drawings and documentation
Willingness to travel up to 10%
