Responsibilities
Welding and Joining: Weld, braze, solder, and cement joints to connect pipes and related components. Employ welding techniques to fuse pipes securely, maintaining structural integrity and leak-free connections
Pipe Installation: Install, align, and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes
Layout and Measurement: Accurately measure, cut, and thread pipes using various cutting tools and machinery. Interpret blueprints and layout plans to determine pipe configurations, ensuring proper alignment and fitting
Maintenance and Repairs: Perform maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems.Replace or repair damaged sections of piping as necessary
Qualification
Required
6G welding certification
Travel Requirement: up to 80%
Ability to interpret and execute drawings and blueprints
Ability to use mathematics to lay out angles, arcs and circles
Skill in any of the accepted trade methods and techniques, for example, figuring pipe joint, take outs, aligning pipes, valves, fittings and joints for accurate match and installing proper braces and supports to control movement and vibration and allow for expansion and contraction
Ability to test systems and equipment after completing work for proper circulation, flow, pressure and leak-free joints
