Responsibilities
Review civil construction plans, drawings, and specifications
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, concrete, and related scopes
Develop cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Identify risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities
Maintain accurate estimate documentation and assist with project handoff
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
Qualification
Required
Review civil construction plans, drawings, and specifications
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, concrete, and related scopes
Develop cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Identify risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities
Maintain accurate estimate documentation and assist with project handoff
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment on scope and pricing
Strong understanding of site development, earthwork, underground utilities, and infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and technical documents
Strong math, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Estimating, or related field (preferred but not required)
3–5+ years of experience in civil construction estimating (preferred)
Proficiency with estimating software Sage 100 Contractor & WinEx Master
