Engineering and Design Services Manager
Salt River Project (SRP) is one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S. providing electricity to approximately one million customers in the greater metropolitan Phoenix area. The Engineering and Design Services Manager will manage the engineering, design, and development of transmission and distribution substation facilities, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities
Supervises major project's engineering and support staff
Enhances employee skills and performance through development, counseling, goal setting, training, performance planning, and salary administration
Directs and supervises the preparation, review and approval of project design, with contribution associated with development of material, equipment, and construction contract specifications
Supervises and supports project procurement process that includes specification and RFP development, review of bid proposals, and award recommendations
Supervises and administers engineering support associated with vendor transmittals, designs reviews, and change requests for equipment procurement and construction contracts
Insures quality preparation of reports, documents, vendor instructions, and technical support requests associated with major projects
Supervises and insures project compliance with quality assurance and quality control programs associated with major projects
Contract development and control of contracted projects and material procurement
Directs and supervises project management for major electric system projects
Coordinates and collaborates with SRP stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of projects
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred
A minimum of 7 years of experience
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, 11 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 11 years may be considered
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Currently, SRP does not sponsor H1B visas, OPT, or other employment-related visa's
