Responsibilities
Responsible for the tending of one or more automated or manual testing/production machines or equipment that perform one or more functions in the making of beverage can lids
Maintains and observes operation of machines, gauges and equipment to insure the production of high-quality ends
Inspects ends according to customer specifications
Interprets quality test results and If specifications are not met, informs Team Leader or Team Coordinator
If the machine jams, stops machine and clears away damaged or jammed lids, etc
Other duties as assigned by the team or management
Responsible for the housekeeping and cleaning in the area of responsibility such as wiping clean machines, picking up ends, emptying spoilage container, mopping, emptying trash cans, etc
Responsible for the required paperwork of assigned area or machine(s), examples: logbook entries, or bills of lading, inventory sheets, warehouse tags, etc
Qualification
Required
High School or equivalent preferred but not required
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other Team Members or customers
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Six months or more of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have an excellent safety record and experience in a manufacturing environment
Must pass physical, drug screen and background check
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
Team member frequently is required to climb or balance and talk and hear
The team member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
