BCG Attorney Search is a respected law firm seeking a 3rd or 4th year Commercial Litigation Associate for its Newark, New Jersey office. This role offers hands-on litigation experience and meaningful client contact, providing opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Engage directly with clients and assist in developing litigation strategies
Participate in all aspects of litigation matters from inception through resolution
Prepare for and participate in depositions, including drafting outlines and assisting with defense
Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft dispositive and non-dispositive motions
Manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production
Utilize e-discovery platforms, including Relativity, to support document review and analysis
Collaborate with lean litigation teams to advance case objectives efficiently
Assist with hearings, court appearances, and trial preparation as matters progress
Qualification
Required
3rd or 4th year commercial litigation experience
Admission to practice law in New York and New Jersey
Experience handling dispositive and non-dispositive motion practice
Proficiency with e-discovery platforms, particularly Relativity
Experience preparing deposition outlines and assisting in depositions
Strong academic background and demonstrated litigation skills
Ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining attention to detail
Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in small, team-oriented settings
Proactive mindset with a client-service orientation
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
