Systems Administrator - St. Cloud, MN

Responsibilities
Configure, administer, and maintain enterprise systems including servers, networks, storage, and user accounts to ensure optimal performance and security
Perform regular data backups, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity procedures to safeguard organizational data and minimize downtime
Implement and manage system updates, patches, and security fixes to maintain stability, compliance, and protection against vulnerabilities
Proactively monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network problems, providing timely support for both users and critical systems
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes to support compliance and knowledge transfer
Provide advanced technical support to end users, resolving escalated IT issues and offering guidance on best practices
Collaborate with senior IT staff to design and implement system improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and emerging technologies
Support IT security initiatives, including access management, monitoring, and audit requirements to ensure regulatory and organizational compliance
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management
Experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing)
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
Hands-on experience with patch management and endpoint security tools
Ability to script or automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail for compliance and process improvement
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support end users and collaborate across teams
2-5 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or a related IT role required
Experience managing Windows and/or Linux server environments
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
Ability to lift, carry, or move IT equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed for installation or maintenance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered
