CEO/Co-founder

Afterglo is a psychometric dating and relationship platform seeking a builder-operator CEO to drive growth and fundraising. The role involves defining go-to-market strategies, leading investor outreach, and recruiting key early hires while collaborating closely with the founders.

Responsibilities

Define and execute GTM strategy for our initial 1,000-user test and beyond
Own user acquisition, activation, retention, and referral loops (product-led growth + community + partnerships as needed)
Build a measurable growth system: funnels, experiments, KPIs, and reporting
Craft narrative, positioning, and fundraising materials (deck, memos, metrics story)
Lead investor outreach and close our next round ([pre-seed/seed]—customize)
Establish operating cadence and financial discipline (runway planning, milestones)
Recruit early hires and advisors (growth, community, ops, partnerships—based on strategy)
Develop early culture and operating principles aligned with emotionally intelligent product values
Build systems for execution: weekly goals, accountability, fast iteration
Act as external face of the company: partnerships, press, community building, thought leadership
Make high-conviction decisions with imperfect information and keep momentum high

Required

Proven experience building and scaling consumer software / app startups (dating, social, wellness, or adjacent is a plus)
Strong GTM instincts: you've driven growth beyond “launch” into sustained traction
Fundraising experience: you've raised capital and can confidently lead a process end-to-end
Recruiting strength: you can attract great people early when resources are limited
Excellent communicator with high emotional intelligence (this matters in what we're building)
Experience with AI-driven consumer products or personalization systems

Preferred

Background in behavioral science / psychometrics / relationship wellness (or deep curiosity and respect for it)
