Responsibilities
Drive the company provided vehicle to transport job parts from the warehouse to job sites or pick up excess items such as ladders, gang-boxes, or spools of wire back to the warehouse
Prepares parcels for mailing, FedEx, & UPS
Enter packing lists into computer database and record amounts of materials received
Work closely with Purchasing to assemble customer/technician orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves and/or deliver the items to technicians to job sites
Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure timely deliveries and field questions regarding material status
Work with third party couriers to schedule material pick-up and deliveries, verify paperwork for accuracy and maintain/file copies for our records
Open boxes, crates, and other containers and sort the materials racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as product name or code
Mark materials with the corresponding job number for proper identification
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
Count items for distribution within the building to ensure conformance to company inventory standards
Qualification
Required
Must have the ability to speak effectively before external groups of customers and employees within the organization both verbally and written
Should be able to routinely use Microsoft Office products
