Network Development Summer (STAR) Intern

InternMercedes-Benz USA is responsible for the sales, marketing and service of all Mercedes-Benz and Maybach products in the United States. The Network Development STAR Intern will support dealer network initiatives through data-driven analysis, reporting optimization, and field support projects, while gaining hands-on experience with advanced analytics and dealership operations.

Responsibilities
Data analytics on dealer performance via automated visualization - build and refine dashboards or visual reports that surface KPIs and trends across the dealer network
Metadata auditing and cataloging—review, organize, and document data sources and fields to improve data quality, lineage, and discoverability in Network Development reporting
Field ad hoc reporting - support Area Managers with timely, targeted analyses and one off reporting requests to inform market actions
Support rollout of AI enhancements to Dealer Support Center - help implement AI-driven tools and workflows that improve dealer assistance and efficiency
Assist Dealer Development Group reporting optimization efforts - contribute to streamlining reporting processes and enhancing data accuracy
Assist field training team with curriculum needs - support updates to training materials, delivery modifications, and development of new modules to meet evolving business requirements
Ad hoc dealer evaluation projects (e.g., website review follow ups) - assist with structured assessments that highlight strengths and opportunities at specific retailers
Dealer shadowing - participate in guided observation sessions to understand day-to-day dealership operations and customer experience practices
Qualification
Required
Must be a rising junior or rising senior enrolled in a Bachelor's program
Preferred
Business Administration
Business Intelligence/Data Analytics
Economics
Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets); familiarity with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) and basic SQL or Python is a plus
Strong written and verbal skills; ability to partner with cross functional stakeholders
Attention to detail for metadata auditing, naming conventions, and cataloging standards
Curiosity, ownership, and a customer centric mindset aligned to the Mercedes Benz brand
