New Grad, Entry Level82 to Win is a coalition working to flip the Missouri House of Representatives by empowering Democratic candidates with campaign strategy, marketing support, fundraising tools, and organizational infrastructure. The Volunteer Candidate Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned Democratic candidates, providing ongoing support and ensuring they have the resources needed for successful campaigns.
Political Organization
Responsibilities
Conduct initial kickoff phone call with newly assigned candidates
Introduce yourself, 82 to Win's mission, and available resources
Understand the candidate's district, priorities, and campaign status
Set expectations for communication cadence and support
At least 1 phone call per month with each assigned candidate
Additional check-ins via text/email during off-weeks
Track and document each interaction in Notion
How is the campaign going overall?
Fundraising updates and challenges
Upcoming events (town halls, fundraisers, canvassing)
Marketing plans (social media, email campaigns, materials needed)
Volunteer recruitment and coordination needs
Challenges or roadblocks where 82 to Win can help
Resources or support needed from our team
Maintain updated records in Notion for each candidate
Flag urgent needs or concerns to 82 to Win leadership
Identify opportunities where candidates could benefit from additional support
Track key milestones (filing deadlines, debate dates, major events)
Connect candidates with 82 to Win resources (templates, toolkits, strategy guides)
Facilitate introductions to subject matter experts when needed
Share relevant updates from 82 to Win team
Ensure candidates receive timely communications from the coalition
Be a supportive, encouraging presence for candidates
Celebrate wins and milestones
Provide accountability and gentle nudges when needed
Build trust as a reliable partner in their campaign journey
Attend 82 to Win team meeting (1 hour)
Qualification
Required
Passionate about flipping the Missouri House and supporting Democratic candidates
Enjoy building relationships and supporting others' success
Organized and good at following up consistently
Can communicate clearly and warmly via phone, text, and email
Comfortable with light project management and tracking
Can commit a couple of hours per week through November 2026
Reliable and follow through on commitments
Preferred
Experience with political campaigns (as a candidate, volunteer, or staffer)
Understanding of Missouri politics and districts
Experience in coaching, mentoring, or account management
Familiarity with Notion or similar project management tools
