Responsibilities
Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business reporting requirements and policies for the development of new operational reports and analytics
Conduct data analysis of business and user needs and developing business requirements documents in accordance with the requirements and protocol of the ITS EIM Division during multiple project phases to convert the numerous Oracle Portals, Business Areas, and Discoverer Workbooks to the current Oracle analytical reporting platform
Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the Business Intelligence reporting requirements and deliverables for reports, dashboards, and ad hoc tools
Work closely with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technical team members and various OMH Business Owners to create Business Requirement documentation and to communicate the business requirements to the technical team for development of logical and physical dimensional data model reporting requirements
Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers and the business owners to translate report requirements, provide clarification of business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff and ensure successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements
Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations testing for accuracy and sign off on deliverables
Assist in providing training & end user support for OMH staff utilizing the Analytics tool
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Business Analyst in a similar role
Strong knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
Ability to conduct data analysis and develop business requirements documents
Experience in creating business documentation such as Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, and process documentation
Ability to work closely with technical teams and communicate business requirements effectively
Experience in collaborating with data modelers, ETL developers, and programmers
Ability to create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans
Experience in providing training and end user support
