Responsibilities
Prepare and prosecute software-related patent applications before the USPTO
Draft patent specifications, claims, and responses to Office Actions
Develop and manage patent portfolios aligned with client business objectives
Provide strategic counseling on patentability, prosecution strategy, and portfolio development
Collaborate with attorneys, agents, and technical specialists on complex matters
Stay current with developments in patent law and emerging technologies
Qualification
Required
Minimum of three (3) years of patent prosecution experience preferred
USPTO Registration Number required
Strong attention to detail with excellent legal writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field
Preferred
Experience with software-related technologies such as cloud computing, cybersecurity and encryption, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, mobile applications, databases, and networking is strongly preferred
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear and effective patent claims
