As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining control systems and collaborating with various teams to ensure the reliable operation of the Healy Power Plant.

Support the safe and reliable operation of the Healy Power Plant by administering and maintaining control systems

Assisting with troubleshooting

Collaborating with plant personnel on technical solutions

Contribute to system improvements

Documentation

Data analysis

Working closely with engineering teams

Operations staff

External vendors in a fast-paced industrial environment

Qualification

Electrical EngineeringControl SystemsABB SymphonyAllen Bradley SystemsData AnalysisCommunicationTeam CollaborationProblem Solving

Required

Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Valid Alaska driver's license

Experience with or the ability to rapidly learn control systems used in electrical utility, GMS/EMS, or industrial process environments

Ability to interpret electrical schematics

Ability to analyze technical processes

Ability to develop engineered solutions under varying constraints

Strong communication skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to work under pressure or in demanding plant environments

Preferred

Prior experience with ABB Symphony and Allen Bradley systems

Familiarity with coal combustion, steam systems, power generation, and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards
