Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for creating the data foundations that the investment, trading, risk, and research teams rely on every day
Mainly working on shaping data models, building efficient data pipelines, and helping develop a firmwide warehouse
Ability to impact firm wise data flows within the fund, as well as contributing to the backend systems and APIs that make our data accessible and usable across the firm
High ownership of production data systems that impact the entire investment lifecycle
The opportunity to define data engineering standards and influence architectural decisions
Close partnership with portfolio managers, quants, risk teams, and technologists
A chance to build modern, flexible, research-friendly data infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Meaningful experience on the buy side
Understanding of the data that drives an investment organization
Experience building or supporting datasets like security master, pricing, positions, or P&L in production
Ability to create data foundations for investment, trading, risk, and research teams
Experience shaping data models and building efficient data pipelines
Ability to contribute to backend systems and APIs for data accessibility
High ownership of production data systems impacting the investment lifecycle
Ability to define data engineering standards and influence architectural decisions
Experience working closely with portfolio managers, quants, risk teams, and technologists
Hands-on engineering experience with complex data problems
Preferred
Experience working with alternative datasets or combining them with traditional financial data
Experience with key technologies: Python, SQL, AWS, ETL
