Application Engineer, Electric Motors - North America
Alva Industries develops state-of-the-art frameless electric motors for various innovative applications and is seeking an Application Engineer to support regional growth in North America. In this role, you will assist customers in integrating electric motors into their systems while collaborating with the sales and engineering teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities
Support the sales team in technical discussions during customer meetings
Help customers navigate our electric motor portfolio to find the optimal solution
Perform performance calculations and sizing to ensure competitive, high-performing proposals
Provide hands-on support during customer evaluation, testing, and system integration
Maintain a deep understanding of Alva’s motor technology, capabilities, and differentiators
Serve as a key link between customers and the engineering team to ensure successful outcomes
Prepare technical quotes and proposals in collaboration with engineering and sales
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or similar
Experience in application engineering or product management within motion systems (e.g. electric motors, encoders, gearboxes, or servo drives)
Fluent in written and spoken English
Preferred
Experience integrating and testing motion control systems
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with PLM and CRM systems
Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, C, or graphical environments like LabVIEW)
Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events (up to 50%)
