Platform Programs Manager, Mentorship
TechUnited:NJ empowers entrepreneurs and innovators to build a better future for all. The Platform Programs Manager will lead the execution and growth of Uplift, TechUnited’s mentorship program for New Jersey founders and operators, while also supporting broader entrepreneurship programming.

Responsibilities
Own Uplift end-to-end across outreach, applications, onboarding, matching, programming, and cohort completion
Build and manage the cohort timeline, milestones, and participant communications
Recruit and retain high-quality mentors and mentees across NJ
Manage mentor/mentee matching based on stage, goals, and experience
Track participation and engagement to ensure mentorship relationships stay active and valuable
Collect feedback and continuously improve the program each cohort
Manage Uplift as a grant-supported program, ensuring required deliverables are met
Track engagement and outcomes (applications, matches, attendance, mentor/mentee participation, milestone progress)
Maintain clean documentation and reporting to support reimbursement and compliance needs
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed on time and accurately
Source and coordinate speakers for Uplift educational webinars and cohort programming
Develop programming topics based on founder needs (e.g., fundraising, GTM, hiring, operations, storytelling)
Own speaker outreach, scheduling, run-of-show, and session follow-up
Support creation and distribution of post-session resources and takeaways
Help grow TechUnited’s grassroots entrepreneurship community across New Jersey
Create touchpoints that drive connection, trust, and momentum
Build relationships with ecosystem partners (coworking spaces, community orgs, universities, accelerators, local networks)
Support outreach and engagement with a strong focus on women founders and underrepresented entrepreneurs
Facilitate cohort touchpoints (virtual and/or in-person) with structure, warmth, and strong energy
Lead discussions that help founders learn from each other and stay accountable
Ensure participants feel supported, clear on expectations, and excited to stay engaged
Troubleshoot mentorship challenges with discretion and strong judgment
Support planning and execution of AI Demo Nights and other community events
Coordinate speakers/demos, participant communications, run-of-show, and day-of logistics
Collaborate with partners and venues to deliver an excellent attendee experience
Support post-event follow-up and community continuity
Qualification
Required
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong with people and communication (founders, mentors, executives, partners)
Confident facilitating conversations and small groups
Comfortable owning both 'program strategy' and day-to-day execution
Proactive and follow-through driven (you drive momentum without constant oversight)
Interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and building community in New Jersey
Able to manage grant requirements with consistency and accuracy
Preferred
Experience running cohorts, mentorship programs, founder communities, or membership programs
Event production experience (especially founder/operator programming)
Experience working with grant-funded programs, reporting, or compliance
Familiarity with NJ's startup ecosystem and entrepreneurship partners
Comfort using tools like Google Workspace, Monday.com, Airtable/Sheets, HubSpot, Luma, Zoom, Slack, Canva
