Responsibilities
Define design rules and integration processes for new module platforms in collaboration with teams in China and Taiwan
Develop reference designs, support material selection and qualification, and establish process parameters to ensure performance requirements are met
Act as liaison between U.S. R&D and Asia production teams; lead regular technical meetings
Travel to Asia up to 30-40% annually
Serve as technical lead for the display module fabrication lab, including staff training, vendor engagement, and qualification of new tools and processes
Develop and maintain SOPs for equipment and processes
Troubleshoot downstream processes and support transfer of new requirements to enable improved test devices
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 3-5 years of experience OR MS/Ph.D. with 0-3 years
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese required
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of electronics and clean-room assembly processes (lamination, autoclaving, edge sealing)
Familiarity with Six Sigma tools (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, DOE, simulations, statistical analysis)
Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics
Experience with external development teams and contract manufacturers
