Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the Accounts Payable team, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices
Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of accounts payable
Oversee parts and equipment invoicing, resolving errors, identifying root causes, and implementing process improvements
Review and resolve open credits in a timely manner
Assist with month-end and year-end close related to Accounts Payable
Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, including A/P detail vs. control accounts and aging
Prepare financial reports related to A/P aging, problem accounts, and improvement initiatives
Maintain strong accounting controls and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Ensure resale certificates are complete, accurate, and current
Maintain tight controls over vendor master setup and ongoing maintenance
Improve and maintain vendor contact, credit card, and related master data
Partner with the Senior A/P Specialist to reduce past-due accounts
Support and improve travel and expense reporting processes
Monitor incoming calls for opportunities to improve customer service
Improve internal communication regarding key vendors, exceptions, and account status
Log and file RMAs as required
Document workflows, procedures, and standardize A/P processes
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Stay current on accounting best practices and professional developments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
3+ years of supervisory experience in Accounts Payable
Manufacturing industry experience required
SAP ECC experience required
Deep knowledge of travel and expense reporting
Preferred
MBA preferred
Travel and expense certification preferred
