Responsibilities

Supports the Estimating Team with the overall bidding process for Demolition Services, to include reviewing plans/drawings and scopes of work, working to identify labor hours, equipment/tools/rentals required, attending client job site walks, and providing constructive feedback to support winning company proposals
Coordinates construction and demolition projects including staffing, scheduling, budgets, equipment, and work assignments
Manages daily job site activities to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget/scope of work and in accordance with quality control standards
Regularly surveys job sites (to include unannounced) to ensure safety practices, job status, and timely & profitable job completion
Facilitates communication with customer and management/estimator regarding scope of work, budget, scheduling and staffing through both written and verbal communications
Effectively trains and directs team foremen. Holds each foreman accountable for proper training and documentation of team personnel and fulfillment of each job
Effectively establishes work schedules; designates shifts and work area assignments
Ensures strict compliance with established safety procedures and standards and recommends enhancements
Cultivates strong and trusting relationships with clients and direct reports. Solicits real-time feedback and responds to issues with a sense of urgency
Effectively performs new hire and ongoing training and development activities for all staff levels
Evaluates team performance on an ongoing basis and motivates employees to perform to their maximum ability; documents disciplinary issues and coaches’ employees to success
Monitors and reviews employee timekeeping for accuracy of bi-weekly payroll processing
Maintains optimum inventory levels and ensures equipment, tools, products & supplies meet the highest level of expected standards on the job site
Recommends best practices regarding equipment, tools, products, supplies, & demolition methods/practices
Focuses on executing each project in a strategic, efficient, cost-conservative, safe manner to support the most positive work outcomes
Works effectively as a team with all peers, supervisors, and customers, including communicating and interrelating in a positive and professional manner

Required

High School Diploma required
A minimum of five (5) years of proven demolition services experience
Prior experience managing a large team of employees
A proven track record of developing teams, including coaching and mentoring employees
Must possess clear communication skills
Must demonstrate a customer-focused approach at all times
Must be a team player
High attention to detail a must
Appearance must be neat and clean at all times to effectively represent the company during all hours worked
Must possess flexibility to work a variety of scheduled hours, whether day, night, or weekend
No smoking while operating or riding in company vehicles or while on a job site or company property
Ability to perform manual labor, lifting up to 50 lbs. continuously
Must pass criminal background check, including drug screen
Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
