Responsibilities
Commission electrical distribution equipment and controls, including medium-voltage systems
Review electrical system designs for compliance with client requirements and project goals
Prepare commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
Execute commissioning activities from design through occupancy phases
Attend and document factory acceptance testing (FAT) of equipment
Perform functional and performance testing using appropriate instrumentation
Document all field procedures, results, and observations accurately
Prepare detailed reports on system performance and recommend technical solutions
Coordinate and execute field activities with project teams and stakeholders
Maintain daily commissioning logs and reports
Mentor and support Associate Project Engineers
May be required to lead commissioning meetings or speak on technical topics
Attend relevant project coordination and schedule meetings as necessary
May be required to lead commissioning meetings or speak on technical topics
Train and guide both Associate Project Engineers and Project Engineers on roles & responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to client and team inquiries
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and protocols
Qualification
Required
Strong technical expertise in electrical system design, construction, and commissioning processes
Theoretical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, and validating electrical systems and controls
Ability to commission electrical distribution equipment and controls, including medium-voltage systems
Experience in reviewing electrical system designs for compliance with client requirements and project goals
Skill in preparing commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules
Experience executing commissioning activities from design through occupancy phases
Ability to attend and document factory acceptance testing (FAT) of equipment
Experience performing functional and performance testing using appropriate instrumentation
Skill in documenting all field procedures, results, and observations accurately
Ability to prepare detailed reports on system performance and recommend technical solutions
Experience coordinating and executing field activities with project teams and stakeholders

Experience mentoring and supporting Associate Project Engineers
